Their Philosophy

The Almine Rech Gallery defends contemporary art in the diversity of its media. It exhibits sculpture, photography, painting, installation... with an emphasis, however, on contemporary painting. On the whole, the gallery offers personal exhibitions. But some thematic group exhibitions are sometimes invited, around particular curators (like Eric Troncy, in Paris, in 2015). The contemporary artists represented by the Almine Rech Gallery are active on the international contemporary art scene. In October 2008, the gallery opened an exhibition space in Brussels and now represents some forty artists, including Johan Creten, who joined Almine Rech Brussels in 2011.
