This book offers a fascinating insight into the world of Johan Creten. Through emblematic works and previously unpublished pieces, this publication explores the inspirations and creative processes that shape his artistic career.
The result of a close collaboration with the Musée des Beaux-Arts d'Orléans, the exhibition was curated by Olivia Voisin, Director of the Musée d'Orléans, who also wrote the opening text of this monograph. The book is enriched by contributions from Claire Barbillon (director of the École du Louvre and university professor), Peter Marino (collector and architect), Matthieu Lelièvre (art historian) and Orane Stalpers (curator and author).
It is beautifully illustrated with photographs by Gerrit Schreurs and supported by the Perrotin and Almine Rech galleries.
